Discord bot commands and privacy

Updated 9 September 2026. This guide covers TradingContestBot, MindGameBot, Whale Connect and the retired TaskBot.

What changed

TradingContestBot and Whale Connect now support slash commands. MindGameBot's existing game commands are unchanged. These changes let the bots operate without reading ordinary server message content. TaskBot has been retired.

For a familiar alternative, mention the bot first: @TradingContestBot play or @Whale Connect verify. Select the real bot mention from Discord's menu. Existing tb! and % command syntax can also follow that mention. Whale Connect's % commands continue to work in a direct message where the command does not require a server.

Plain play!, tb!… and %… messages in server channels no longer activate these bots unless the message starts by mentioning the relevant bot. If slash commands do not appear, reopen Discord, check that you selected the right bot, and ask a server administrator to check the app's command permissions and installation.

TradingContestBot

Use commands in the same trading contest, simulator task, duel or authorized team channels as before. Entry links arrive privately by DM; scores and contest results appear in the relevant channel. Your saved scores and contest roles carry over.

Old commandNew commandWhat to enter
play! / tb!play/playNo arguments. Enter your role's contest or start the simulator task.
tb!leaderboard/leaderboardShow current contest scores.
tb!highscores/highscoresShow all-time high scores.

tb!eligible/eligibleCheck your Player/Alt role eligibility.
tb!silver/silverOpen the alternative simulator.
tb!challenge @player advanced/challengeIn arguments, enter @player advanced. Mode is optional; beginner, intermediate or advanced are accepted.

Trading contest moderators

These commands keep their existing role checks. For commands with an arguments box, enter the same text that previously followed the command. A real user mention looks like @player in Discord; select the user from the mention menu.

Old → newArguments
tb!startcontest/startcontestLeave blank to start the four skill contests now for two hours, or enter 2026-09-09T17:00:00Z 2026-09-09T19:00:00Z.

tb!startduel/startduel@player1 @player2
tb!manualduelresult/manualduelresultchallenge_123456789 @player 150, using the actual challenge key and score.

tb!usernames/usernamesSpace-separated Discord user IDs. Results arrive privately.
tb!ips/ips@player. Recent simulator IP records, sent privately.
tb!sharedips/sharedips@player1 @player2. Shared recent IPs, sent privately.
tb!users/usersAn IP address. Matching recent simulator participants, sent privately.
tb!alts/alts@player. Accounts sharing recent simulator IPs, sent privately. This is an investigation aid, not proof of common ownership.

Simulator links now use HTTPS. Keep personal game links private. Refresh an old simulator tab before starting another game. Anti-abuse IP lookups now cover at most the most recent 30 days; old log-based history is no longer used.

Whale Connect

For normal use, replace the % with /. Existing verified wallet links and roles carry over. Wallet verification still continues in a private DM; never send a private key or seed phrase.

Old → newPurpose
%verify/verifyStart wallet verification, with the privacy notice shown before you supply your address.
%status/statusCheck the current wallet link by DM.
%balance/balanceCheck public token balances by DM.
%roles/rolesShow earned roles and their recorded assignment times.
%update/updateRefresh your managed server roles.
%listroles/listrolesList available roles and token thresholds.
%ping/pingCheck that the bot is responding.
%help/helpShow the command guide.

Administrator commands also retain their names: /setuseraddress, /checkuseraddress, /checkuseraddresses, /checkuserwithaddress, /checkuserroles, /updateallroles, /addrole, /deleterole and /exportaddresses. Fill in the named options displayed by Discord. Prefer the user selector over a numeric ID. Existing authorization checks still apply; sensitive wallet lookups and exports arrive by DM.

MindGameBot

The application ID is 1205705197771563008; its Discord profile currently says TestSeasonalGameBot. Its existing slash commands and saved game records carry over.

Organizer commands are unchanged: /startgame, /endgames, /setdelay, /setgamelength, /seteligible, /setnext, /setvariants, /setmultiplier, /assignroles, /silence, /chaos, /tips, /sendreport, /linktg2discord and /linkedaccounts. These affect the game or reports; use only with the organizer's authorization. /testcommand remains an operator diagnostic.

TaskBot is retired

TaskBot is offline. Its task and assignment records were removed on 9 September 2026. Commands such as !assign and !task_details are no longer available.

Privacy, deletion and support

On each active bot, /privacy shows its policy. /mydata records an access request. /deletedata explains deletion; use its confirm option set to True to record a deletion request. The operator handles these requests, normally within 30 days. Submitting a request does not immediately erase all records. You can also contact info@seasonaltokens.io with the bot name and your request reference.
